Hi Clive

I live in Cardiff and I’m going to submit my application shortly. However I was wondering how flexible the hours are in terms of continuing to meet my current family responsibilities, like collecting the kids from school etc. and if working from home on occasions would be a possibility.

Hi Paul Glad you find this of interest. The closing date for these applications will be 25 January, with interviews happening during February. If that's too early for your plans, bear in mind that more Bike Club jobs will be advertised later this year - it all depends how flexible you can be with location. Keep watching this site, or our RSS feed, or our Twitter feed, and you'll know about jobs as soon as they appear.

Yesterday, I went to carlisle in a very heavy snow shower to meet with a Community volunteer to talk about setting up a bike club in her village including an accredited maintenance course. I then ent on to meet an officer from a housing association who is looking to set up a bike recycling scheme and to convert a disused BMX track into a bike skills area as well as setting up a cycling festival at Easter. After these two meetings I went back to the Office to do some research on the Duke of Edinburgh Award, a project I’m working on with a colleague. Then cycled home from Lancaster…..just recovering from hypothermia now.

Yesterday I aranged to meet a sports development worker about a school based Bike Club. I did some (overdue) office paperwork then went to a girls cycling skincare session and came away with some bloke’s moisturiser: http://bit.ly/5kYizi Met some people about bike recycling with young offenders and costed up some training that a new Bike Club might need with our colleagues at http://www.promtb.net Couple of phone calls about UKYouth’s centenary and that was about it. Oh and the vegan food thing for our team meeting. That’s too “in house…”
