I am a scottish born person living in Cape Town South Africa who is considering returning to scotland. I have been directly involved in cycling (retail & personal training) for almost twelve years. i have taken part in many cycle rides, set up stalls at cycling expo’s, helped with cycling development for the disadvantaged and helped relieve during cycle events (water tables & cycle mechanic). I would very much like to be a part of your organisation as attempts here to get something started like what the UK has has fallen many times on deaf ears.
Hi Christopher.
Thanks for your interest. We did successfully recruit our officers for Scotland.
We are currently advertising for a post in Darlington and York, if you may be interested in working in the north of England?
Clive
Hi Christopher
Did you work with BEN (Andrew W) and BENN (Michael L)?
There are a lot of initiatives linked to the Bike Clubs in Scotland which Victoria and Amy know about, and have current contact details for – Glasgow has Commonwheel, De’ils on Wheels, Bike shed, Freewheel Edinburgh has Bike Station, and there is a big recycling initiative in Central Scotland that started off with a small unit in Fallin.
PS if anyone is going out to South Africa or Namibia do consider taking some small but important bike spares for their bike transport projects, and support these by ‘hiring’ a local bike from the projects.
