The Camden Society Bike Club for all abilities are gearing up for their launch later in the summer with some pilot sessions, and have gone in at the deep end – The Camden Society have entered two teams in the London Virgin Trialthlon (30/31 August 2011)! Members of the Bike Club are taking part in the relay.
They have also received certificates from Nigel Mansell OBE, motor racing legend and President of UKYouth.

The Camden Society help to promote social inclusion for people with disabilites and were successful in setting up a Bike Club and obtaining a grant to go towards the purchase of pool bikes and safety equipment for the Bike Club members to use.
Representatives of the Bike Club were awarded certificates by Nigel Mansell, at the Halford’s Tour Series Bike Race in Canary Wharf. They really enjoyed watching Team UKYouth battle it out on the tarmac and grab 5th place in the series, despite the showers!
The Bike Club Members are tackling the London Virgin Triathlon to help raise funds for the Camden Society’s Great Escape summer festival, an affordable week of activities and relaxation for disabled people – what a refreshing break from the city that will be! They would appreciate any support you can offer.
