“For me, cycling has always been a great way to get around, see friends and get some fresh air, all without any need for leggings, helmets and hi-vis! I grew up in quite a rural area, so expensive and infrequent buses meant cycling was the best, and often only, method to get from a to b.
“At uni (I’ve just graduated) going by bike was the preferred transport mode rather than late-night, expensive taxis, so I am well practised at cycling in dresses and heels! I’m really excited by my new role where I can help others to see the benefits of getting out and about by bike without getting too sporty and sweaty.
“I’m brand new to the South West region so I’m hoping to explore the surrounding area and am looking forward to some walking/ cycling/ camping in the national parks of the Brecon Beacons, Exmoor and Dartmoor. Sadly, moving meant leaving behind a beloved allotment, but hopefully it won’t be long before I can get greenfingered again as I explore some of Bristol’s city farms and green spaces.”
