“Hi, I’m Alex Wise. I’m the Bike Club Officer for the cycling towns of Cambridge, Colchester and Southend on Sea. I’m really looking forward to setting up local Bike Clubs with anyone who wants to get involved in these areas. If you’re a youth worker who wants to bring Bike Club to the youth club you run or a young person who wants to start up a Bike Club with their friends after school I’m here to field your questions and help you when and where I can.
“I have been involved with cycling for over 15 of my 21 years and have cycle raced in many different countries right around the world, for the last two years I was living in Belgium and France cycling for road racing teams. I have raced with some famous riders such as Bradley Wiggins, David Miller and Mark Cavendish. I’m studying with The Open University for a degree in the social sciences which I hope to complete in the next 3 or 4 years.
