“Having developed Bike Club in Darlington and York for the past year, I’m now in Gateshead and Newcastle, aiming to introduce Bike Club there. I joined Bike Club from a background in youth work; mainly for churches and charities. I’ve got experience of using the environment as a tool for learning and development, especially with young people who might struggle with more formal ways of learning. Bike Club fits right in with that.
“I’m a sports fan – I love cricket but I’ll watch anything. I also have a young family who keep me busy at home. When it all gets a bit much, I hop on my bike to relax and get away from it all, often with one of the little ones in tow.
“I’m really excited to be developing Bike Club into another area, so more young people can access cycling and the outdoors for the first time.”
